West End Dining at Highly Acclaimed Raincity Grill

Pemberton Potatoes (photo courtesy of raincity grill)Dining in Vancouver is pretty exceptional considering we have some of the best chefs in the world . I love the fact that hot spots like Raincity Grill promote the best and brightest of our great province.Sure they have a superb chef, but what I am talking about here is the fact that they showcase amazing products that are caught, grown, raised and produced not only in BC but within 100 miles of their West End location.

I had the opportunity to try their autumn 100 mile menu and it is like eating fine art. Truly a most sensual experience, my eyes were greeted with presentations that could be  described as Monet to Dali and my pallet was reminded of how great real fresh quality food should taste.Lets face it, our great province is full of pristine lakes, glacier fed streams, organic and bio dynamic farms and a whole community committed to sustainable living.

Definitely check out Raincity Grill if you want a real west coast experience.

Pros: You can't beat the view of English Bay and they have over 70 wines by the glass

Cons: Parking is a hassle so plan to valet or cab it. Also not really an atmosphere for small children, however, call ahead and maybe if you go early enough your kids can enjoy real food.
