Yaletown Street Party

eventname1.gifeventname1.gif

Whoever says that Yaletown is an uptight, stuffy neighbourhood needs to read this post.

On Saturday July 21 (from noon-6pm) Yaletown is hosting a free summer party for all. So what is there in Yaletown you ask. Well, there is a very large list of events. Aside from the usual DJ's, dance and music performances there will be other interesting spectacles ranging from an amazing BMX Bike Show to a Celebrity Chef "Chili Cook Off/Tastings" as well as an extreme Dog Agility Show. And what would a street party be without beer? The Beer Garden is just west of the Outdoor Market along Mainland and Helmcken, but don't forget to check out the epic "Battle of the Bartenders." (I wonder if there will be a tasting there as well?)

This should be a fun party for locals and tourists, but what I like most is that all of the event proceeds will benefit the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society. Come out and enjoy Vancover's best FREEparty of the summer!

I was in Yaletown for this. It was fun but didn't it rain out that day? Saw a cool Bike race.
