Girl/Girl: Best Lesbian Club Events Part 2
If dancing is your thing (or watching other hot things shake their booty) here are a few suggestions; probably the best overall dance club in Vancouver is Celebrities, an old stand by in the heart of the gay community downtown, but nicely renovated after a fire. While Celebrities attracts a lot of queer men and women, lots of straight people frequent the dance floor here as well because the music is fun and it has a friendly, safe vibe on the dance floor and beyond.
Because it is right on Davie street, it has public transit and taxis readily available when you walk out the door. Check out their website here:

Another hotspot is Lick, near Gastown, Vancouver's Heritage District and they are committed to being the place for chicks who dig chicks. The location of Lick is not as pretty and pristine as Davie Street, as it is technically in the Downtown Eastside, one of Canada's poorest postal codes, so you will run into street drug scenes, homeless, and impoverished people. That said, except for the rare aggressive panhandler, people down here are friendly and if you're minding your own business and treating them with a little respect, (a hello or a smile can go a long way) you shouldn't have any problems.
Lick is now completely managed by women and the crowd will be primarily a lesbian one where you can feel safe to dance, drink, flirt, kiss your girlfriend, and take in the eye candy. Lick does not have their own official website as yet, but you can find information here:
