Vancouver International Children's Festival

The gates are beginning to roll open on Vancouver's Festival Season. Vancouver's International Children's Festival brings a wide array of performers onto the Vanier Park site for 8 days of fun! Performer's come from all over the world to create music, theater, dance, storytelling, puppetry, circus arts and more.
In this it's 30th season of existence, the festival is sure not to disappoint (now if only the weather can restrain itself from playing foul). In my years living in the city I have come as a spectator and a volunteer with each experience bringing new senses of enjoyment. Not to balk at the local talent, but the most interesting stuff I find seems to come from down under, with fabulous pieces put together by Aussie troupes in the past.
