Delta Vancouver Airport Hotel
The Delta Vancouver Airport Hotel is situated between the airport and Vancouver. For that reason, some hotel goers think it is a great place to stay because of it's proximity to the airport. As well, the Delta Vancouver Airport Hotel is quite close to Richmond which can also be a good thing if you want to go to Richmond for dinner or to see friends or family.
But, this hotel has more than just it's location to offer. My cousin from Ottawa had just stayed there for a few days when visiting our family and he was very impressed with the friendly service of the front staff and 'chic'-ness of the room. Many of the 415 renovated rooms have a breathtaking river and mountain view (with video games for the kids) while the deluxe rooms also provide complimentery high speed Internet and down feather beds. As well, the hotel boasts all the recreation facilities you could ask for including a well-equipped health club (complimentary bottled water and apples) as well as an outdoor pool and a pet-friendly attitude to those travelling with their four-legged friends!
Most of all, my cousin seemed to enjoy the proximity to the airport and it's convenient location to Richmond and downtown Vancouver. If you are taking transit there is an express bus going downtown just outside of the front doors and if you decide to check out Richmond's plentiful Chinese restaurants and shopping malls the same bus will take you there, too. So, if you don't want to spend an arm and a leg to stay in a downtown suite, you will probably find this accommadation as charming and affordable as my cousin did.
