Rain and More Rain

It's raining, it's pouring, on the mountains it's snowing!

The weather forecasts of late show nothing but rain. A record fall of precipitation has added up in the lower mainland in the past few days, and there have been a number of flooding mishaps. But turn those frowns upside down outdoor lovers. When it's raining down below, it's snowing on high.

Both the North Shore mountains and Whistler have felt stellar seasons with an overflow of snow. With the ongoing rain, the snow continues to fall. So if the grey skies are getting you blue, take a drive 30 minutes or 2 hours north to see white. The heavy raindrops will turn to soft flakes, and green forest will turn into a winter wonderland.

It's true that every dark cloud has a silver lining.
