Romantic Vancouver
Every day, I walk past the shop of my dreams and gaze longingly inside.
Dainty little cupcakes rise in colourful tiers to create a rainbow of sweet treats.
So imagine my joy when I opened my eyes to a box from Cupcakes this Valentine's morning.
Two stores, at 1116 Denman Street and 2887 West Broadway, have a range of cakes guaranteed to make your lover's heart melt, any day of the week.
My personal favourite, 24 Carrot, is only available at weekends so be sure to pay a visit.
Valentine's Day only comes once a year, but there are plenty of opportunities to impress a date in Vancouver the rest of the time.

Romantic walk - share a breath of fresh air during a beach walk around English Bay. Best bit is that it's free!

Tandem cycling - what are a few grazes and bruises in the pursuit of love? Hire a tandem bike from one of the numerous rental shops near Stanley Park.

Candlelit dinner - for the ultimate splurge, head to the Five Sails Restaurant at the Pan Pacific, 999 Canada Place Way. Divine food and breathtaking views make for a great start to a night of passion...
