Fairmont's Hotel Vancouver in the Spotlight
Every year during the month of December, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts' venerable Hotel Vancouver flips the switch on its roof lights. Local Vancouverites have come to recognize this event as the beginning of the season's festivites...and the beginning of the year's shopping frenzy on nearby Robson street.
Opened for business in May of 1939 just in time for the Royal visit of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, the Hotel Vancouver is one of the city's historical landmarks.
