Vancouver's Rain is Frozen
Many of us locals in Vancouver moved here to escape the clutches of the standard Canadian winter. No one likes to be stereotyped, but we have to admit that the term "Great White North" was coined for good reason. Vancouver has always offered respite from the snowy experience of our brothers and sisters across the nation. That is, until this week.
Minus eleven Celcius on Tuesday evening on November 28th, a snow covered city, cars sliding everywhere...and tomorrow it's going to get a lot worse:
Arctic air over the British Columbia interior continues to spill out through the north coast valleys and inlets generating strong outflow winds and dangerously cold windchill temperatures over exposed areas of the central and north coast. Over inland sections of the coasts wind chill temperatures will run in the minus 20 to minus 30 range through Wednesday morning.
We want our money back. Sure looks pretty though!
