A Day Trip To Maple Ridge, British Columbia
Every Friday there will be a list of things to do in Maple Ridge for Saturday on this blog. So if you are here from out of town visiting Vancouver and want a day trip, here it is already planned for you. Or maybe you are a local and want something a little different but don't know quite what - well look no further!
This Day Trip is for Saturday January 27th, 2007.
Start your day off at the Maple Ridge Art Gallery located inside the ACT (Arts Centre Theatre). The current exhibition is called Vision & Hope for Justice and Peace by Bert Monterona. The award-winning artist has had his work exhibited in Asia, Austrailia, and North America. This show is also showcasing Monterona's unique bamboo art. If you cannot make it to see the show on Saturday it will be running until February 13, 2007.
Tuesday to Friday 11:00am - 4:00pm
Admission is free to the gallery but donations are welcomed.
After your time in the Art Gallery, head over to Crumbs Bakery. It is supposed to be a sunny day and it is within walking distance. You can have a gourmet sandwich or sit back and enjoy a coffee and some pastries made onsite. From 1 PM - 3 PM on Saturdays there is live entertainment. This Saturday you can catch Robert Campbell and Cailin Green. "Robert and Cailin have put together an eclectic mix of jazz, blues, pop, light rock and country to entertain their audiences. "
Crumbs Bakery is located at 22266 Dewdney Trunk Road in Maple Ridge.
After you have had something to eat and have been entertained why not take a walk down 224th Street and visit all the places that we have told you about this week?
Jim's Pizza & The Lookout Restaurant
Have a great weekend! If you visit any of the locations or take advantage of this ready-made itinerary, leave a comment and let everyone know about it.
