Jim's Pizza & The Lookout Restaurant - Maple Ridge, BC
Since 1979 Jim's Pizza has been serving up some truly delicious food. My family rates their pizzas a '10', as my husband says "Nothing can be wrong with a pizza that weighs 5 pounds." And he is talking about the WITH EVERYTHING pizza, and yup, it has everything on it.
But the great food isn't the only reason to visit this Maple Ridge tradition; it is also one of the hot locations that film crews frequent. Not just for eating though, it has been used to film such movies as:
- Eve's Christmas (2004)
with Elisa Donovan, Cheryl Ladd, Sebastian Spence - Home for the Holidays (2005)
with Sean Young, Perry King, Lucia Walters - Truth (2005)
with Dean Cain, Stephanie Zimbalist, Thea Gill - Singing Home The Bones: A Poet Becomes Himself (2006)
in production - Veiled Truth (2006)

Jim's Pizza & The Lookout Restaurant describe the start of the restaurant and its expansion:
"It all began in 1979 when newlyweds Peter and Eva Daflos decided to go into business for themselves, opening the then 40-seat restaurant in December of that year. Over the next few years, through both hard work and the same dedication to quality they still hold to, Jim's Pizza became a favourite spot to eat for residents of Maple Ridge. In 1983, in order to accomodate all their patrons, Peter and Eva took over the second floor of their building at the corner of 224th and Macintosh, and opened The Lookout Restaurant, doubling the restaurant's area and tripling the seating capacity."
