A Taste of Italy
A visit to the Italian Centre Shop is more an experience than it is a shopping errand. This is the place to go in all of Edmonton to find anything Italian. There are aisles of specialty food items and staples, drinks, desserts, fresh baked bread and a produce section.
Take a number at the deli counter and find a variety of meats, cheeses and olives. Staff are happy to help you pick out the right product and are generous with samples.
The best news? Price. This is the least expensive food shop I have found in the city. When you are finished shopping, pop in the restaurant next door for a panini sandwich and expresso. There is almost always locals hanging out and chatting in Italian.
A second location opened recently in the South side. Some prefer the newer and bigger store, though I prefer the original location with its charm in Edmonton's Little Italy.
