Enjoy brunch with Friends & Neighbours – Edmonton style
Sunday is the traditional day to spend time with friends and family, whether it is Sunday dinner, lunch, breakfast or that sometimes required hangover brunch.
Friends & Neighbours Café therefore is a good and very reasonably priced option, in a convenient location on Whyte Ave.
The café has a basic, country kitchen style look, with the odd plant, ceiling fan and Marilyn Monroe poster, but what it may lack in décor it certainly makes up for in choice and quality of food.
Cooked breakfast is available all day, with a large choice to suit all from the traditional bacon and eggs to French toast and omelets. There is also an extensive day menu ranging from entrées, to sandwiches and salads. Check out the daily special board for occasional interesting options such as the Corned Bison Wrap at $9.99 + GST.
A simple bacon or sausage and eggs (cooked in the style of your choosing) breakfast, together with hash browns and 2 slices of toast runs at an ideal price of $6.45 + GST.
The café is obviously popular due to being “cheap, cheerful with good food” as one customer commented, so include it in your list of places to eat in Edmonton any day of the week. Just don’t arrive between 10am - 11.30am on a Sunday, otherwise you will be waiting for a seat!
