Bottoms Up!
In the Killary area of Calgary lies Bottoms Up! This joint is a true sports lovers haven! I went there for a friends birthday, not too sure what to expect. I was totally blown away! The beer was cheap, the food was great, with huge portion sizes, and the atmosphere was excellent. The table tops are covered in old sports cards, and are all themed. Each table has hockey, baseball, even bastketball collector cards underneath a glass top. Many TV's are found all over, showing nearly ever game, tournament or match that is happening. To keep with the sports theme, the waitresses are dressed in cute tennis skirts!
When I was there, none other than Mario Lopez, actor on the hit series 'Saved by the Bell' and 'Dancing with the Stars' happened to stop by, as he was filming a movie in the city. It was kind of neat to have the brush with fame. He was there with one of the art directors from 'Brokeback Mountain'.
Bootoms up is located on 17th ave and about 34th street SW.
