Latin Corner has transformed into CORIANDER

Located on trendy 4th street in the Mission area, the restaurant formerly known as the Latin Corner has become Coriander, a Latin-Indian fusion joint. Its amazing! For those of you who have never tried Indian food, or who have this preconceived notion that Indian=curry, Coriander is a must try place. From Spanish Paella night on Thursdays, to all you can eat chicken dishes on Wednesdays, and Latin dancing on Saturdays, Coriander is anything BUT your typical Indian restaurant.
The new owners took over nearly a year and a half ago, and have slowly been transforming the place into their vision. About a month ago the name change took place, and since then, the restaurant has become home to several regualrs, who can be found in nearly the same place several nights a week.
Must try items include a mojito or glass of sangira to start with. To make it easy for groups, they also offer sangria, mojitos and margaritas by the jug. For an appetizer, Yucaa Frita is fantastic. Tasking similar to french fries, but with a slightly different texture and flavour, this dish will for sure excite your senses. As for entres Gaucho Beif is amazing! It comes on a sword, and is served sizzling hot onto the plate in front of you. Unlike most Indian places, where each item must be ordered seperately to make up an entire entre, Coriander serves the majority of entres complete with rice, beans, naan, veggies or a salad.
The last Thursday of each month is Wine and Dine. for $37.50 per person, you get a 5 or 6 course meal, paired with 5 or 6 wines, hosted by a somellier. Fantastic bang for you buck!
