1410, a new restaurant on 17th Ave.
Since I’ve moved here, I tried to go to a new restaurant once every week at least. Yesterday, I was on 17th Ave. Since I really like a good pint of draught, the idea of a global fusion cuisine mixed with over 40 types of beers was kind of attractive to me and my friend.
I have been disappointed by the restaurant/pub. As a start, there was probably one big screen TV for every two table and a hockey game was playing so loud that I was barely able to hear my friend say hi. He was already there when I entered the room, I went to join him and I wasn’t even seated that the waitress was there asking me what I wanted to drink. When there are over 40 beers on the menu, you want to have a look and be willing to try something different. In that case, I felt bad to ask for 5 minute in order to check their draught list.
I have to admit that their starter was quite good and the meal was reasonable. Not to mention that the prices are very, but very interesting.
What I will suggest for people interested to go there, would be to go for an happy hour or an evening gathering, not really a place to have dinner.
1410 is located at: 1410 17th Avenue SW
