Walking in a winter wonderland

I woke up this morning to lots of snow. I'm not talking about a nice gentle sprinkling of snow. I'm talking 10 minutes of car snow removal this morning, and an extra 20 minutes in traffic snow.

That is a lot of snow.

So to celebrate we are going check out my favorite place to go snowboarding - Banff.

If you are looking for a ski vacation that has everything then Banff is for you. You can hit up the some of the amazing world-class ski slopes during the day and spend a romantic evening without the kids at Le Beaujolais. If you somehow get tired of skiing there is a ton of great cool stores and touristy shops you can check out. Spend the day spending cash and have lunch at Tommy's Neighbourhood Pub. It has great food, a cool authentic British Pub atmosphere, and tasty beers and drink specials.

There are a lot of great places to stay in Banff too. If you are on a tighter budget but still want to have a good time then the Banff Voyager Inn is probably your best bet. The rooms are not the biggest in the area, but if you are going to spend all your time in the room then you've come to the wrong place!

Now, if you want 'the whole nine yards' romantic luxury to the maximum then you will want to stay the Fairmont Banff Springs in Banff. It is probably as good as it gets.

The Fairmont Banff Springs offers stunning vistas, 27-hole golf course, unparalleled skiing, classic cuisine and Willow Stream, a world class European-style spa. Dining options include seven restaurants/eateries, four bar/lounges, wine tasting, Sunday Brunch and afternoon tea. Room service is available 24 hours a day. To assist you in making your selections, a weekly dining guide is issued to each guest upon arrival.
