Waikiki Hotel Staff may strike
For anyone planning on staying in a Waikiki hotel - more specifically a Sheraton Hotel or a Hilton Hotel - in the next few month be warned that four thousand hotel workers have just authorized a possible strike.
Both the Hilton Hotel and Sheraton Hotel groups say they would hire replacement staff if a strike were to take place.
It certainly is a high-stakes issue. Hawaii's tourism industry brings in more than 30 million dollars a day, and 94 thousand daily visitors.
The workers union and hotels are scheduled for more contract negotiations this weekend.
