Hotels for Kids

Can you feel it? There is great change coming. Well okay, by great change I mean that summer is nearly over. I've said it once, but I will say it again... summer is almost over. If you haven't gone on any family vacations yet do it ASAP! The ‘back to school’ commercials have been on TV for weeks now. I'm sure your kids are tired of watching them. Sure you've made them go outside and play, but is that all?

I think it is time for families everywhere who have not taken advantage of the summer to go out and do so. Find yourself a fun hotel for the family. Family friendly hotels are easy to find if you know what you are looking for.

So maybe you don't know exactly what kind of kid friendly hotel you want to stay at. Or, you arenot sure where to start looking for a fun hotel for kids. I have a website for anyone who is looking for more information on good hotels for you and your family. If you want to learn more check out Hotel Fun 4 Kids.com. It is by far one of the most informative sites I've seen in a long time.

My family thought that by paying more at a hotel you would get better service. We booked a family suit at the Holiday Inn Express in San Antonio, Tx by Sea World which was $229.95 a night (2 night stay, we were told we were geting a family suite (2 bedrooms) a king size bed in one room 2 queen size beds, a sofa sleeper and a small kitchenet. when we got in our room, no sofa or kitchennet, called the front desk and asked what happend, they said they were sorry but they didn't have and room like that, the person that we spoke to when making the accommodations was wrong (well we got over that). We looked to see if we had enough bath towles for 4 adults & 4 kids(not even close). We asked the front desk for more towles and was questioned as to why we needed more than 5 towles (duhh the number of poeple). The next day before we left we left a note for the service maids to please leave 14 big towles & 8 little towles PLEASE & THANK YOU. We returned to 5 towles, again we asked the front desk for more towles and again was question (as if we were taking the towles and not using them). If you have ever been in Texas for the summer you will know why people require plenty of bath towles, it is hot and you get sweaty just walking from your car to the store. So can you imagin vacation. Check out time: They had put a hold on my card for $536.94, we were only going to pay $200.00 with that card and $336.94 with another card, thinking the fund would be released after we paid like we were told (haha the joke was on us). We learned the hard way that we got better service staying at a $89.00 a night hotel than a $230.00 a night hotel suit with an indoor heated pool that was not heated at all. Better luck next time we know not to stay there again. It had been a long time sine I had stayed @a Holiday Inn and now I remember why. The rates are expensive and the service is bad. For the amount we paid($536.94) we could have stayed a the Hilton and had our bags carried in for us. I will let everyone I know and anyone who will listen know about our stay at Holiday Inn Express.
