When Beatlemania was in full swing The Beatles traveled all over the world making millions of young people go crazy. In 1966 the Beatles brought their act to Japan affecting Japanese pop culture forever. The Beatles stayed at the Tokyo Hilton - now the Capitol Tokyu Hotel - while playing a number of concerts in Japan.

In celebration of this amazing musical era the Capitol Tokyu Hotel in Tokyo Japan has restored the presidential suite to how it looked when the Beatles stayed in it 40 years earlier.

Events and concerts are taking place all across Japan to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Fab Four's concerts including Beatles cover bands that are battling to be voted the best. Tokyo has also attracted thousands of fans who are visiting a photo exhibition showcasing images taken during the Beatles’ concert tour.
