Da Vinci Code Travel Mania
With the Da Vinci Code movie coming out shortly I've started reading the Da Vinci Code book. That is right there is a book now! I only say that because of a young waitress whom I spoke with the other day - but I digress. I read Dan Brown's Angels & Demons last summer and could not put the book down. It is the same with the Da Vinci Code! The book is exciting and full of great places I'd love to visit. I suggest reading the version with the pictures to go along with it. It really adds a lot to the experience.
I have always been in love with the idea of visiting Europe even before Dan Brown turned the world upside down with his tails of secret societies and cover-ups. Now more than ever is it becoming popular to buy into tours of the sights portrayed in the book but I have never been a fan of hashing out a ton of money to take a tour the pushes you through a tour on a bus. It is like being a cow herder through a fresh patch of grass that looks really good only someone keeps pushing and poking you to move along to the next fresh patch of grass you won't be able to eat. I want to eat my grass! So to solve my problem I thought why not plan my own trip based on the Dan Brown experience!
The best way to do this of course is with this new-fangled Yahoo! Trip Planner. I'm in the process of setting up a few Da Vinci Code trips I would like to take once I get some time off (and a few extra dollars in my pocket).
