BedJump.com will always give props to fellow bed jumping aficionado “scienceduck” (as he is known on flick.com). This creative cat is the brains behind the “bed jumping” flickr group, which was entertaining viewers when BedJump.com was but a glint in our founder’s eye.

The other day we did a radio interview on the “Gary Burbank Show” in Cincinnati, Ohio. The interview itself is featured on our press page…but we thought it would be fun to make a video of the pre-interview chat about BedJump.com between the two DJ’s.
Clearly they’re not entirely sure what we are trying to accomplish, as you can hear below in the video. That’s OK, we’re very clear about what we’re doing here. Good times, baby, good times.

Thanks to Rick for sending the link to this awesome image to us here at BedJump.com. Turns out even the world famous Canadian Cirque Du Soleil troupe is getting in on the Bed Jump action.
I visited the Cirque du Soleil’s training centre in Montreal where, coincidentally, 4 gymnasts in training were learning a comedy routine on two trampolines dressed up like giant beds. Acrobatic skills included 1/1 twist and 2/1 back.
The ultimate in bed jumping, I would say!

We’ve uploaded well over 100 of your awesome hotel bed jumping images, and have received promises for hundreds more (and we’ll be holding you to it!).
We’ve been receiving thousands of hits a day, which truly astounds us. Press from countries all over the world have been featuring the “BedJump” story on radio stations, newspapers and web logs - and the interest in this site just keeps growing.
What’s the reason why BedJump.com is so popular? That’s easy. Just look at the faces on the image above of Mai and Sara. They’re really feeling it.
This site is about enjoying hotels and hotel beds. But mostly, it’s about celebrating our own sense of fun!
And it just keeps getting better and better.
Anyone who has attempted to capture a hotel bed jump on film can relate to the potential for personal “disaster”.
The hotel bed mattresses can take it - they’re designed for punishment. It’s the human body that can feel the pain!
I was jumping on my bed, trying to get a capture of me bumping my head on the ceiling. While I didn’t quite get the moment of impact, I promise you that my head did in fact bump the very hard ceiling. Ouch!
