If you have ever flown out of town on business, you’ll know it can be an exciting time. Restaurant food, plush hotel bed, expense account - feels pretty good. Soon enough though, you start to miss the comforts and company of home. And once in a while you are stuck in your hotel guestroom without much to do.

Luckily for us, Mark got up on his hotel bed and captured a moment or two on film bouncing off his brown floral bedspread at Calgary’s Executive Royal Inn:

I have been working in Calgary for the last 2 days. Once I knew work was over, I could relax and do a little bed jumping. I didn’t think it was possible, but I jumped until I was dead tired. The following pictures are the best ones I had. They were taken at the Executive Royal Inn.

We just discovered your website and were immediately reminded of our vacation in the Maldives in August/September 2006. The weather wasn’t too good there, and so we had to come up with some alternative indoor activities, one of which was BED JUMPING!

However, we didn’t simply jump around ON the bed, but we jumped across the room ONTO the bed! Keep jumping those beds! Tom & Birgit

We used to think that we had taken hotel guestroom images to a whole new level. Then we got an email from Billy featuring a terrific hotel bed jumping image taken at the Irving Ramada at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport in Texas…

…and now we know what “new heights” really means.

Billy is not your typical hotel bed jumper. In fact he has flying entrenched into his DNA. Billy and his wife Lysa’s favourite pastime is skydiving. And when Billy was on a recent business trip, he found himself unable to take to the skies for another jump. Sounds rough, but all was not lost.

That’s where BedJump.com came to the rescue:

My wife and I saw your website a few weeks ago. We are both avid skydivers and we got a real kick out of your website. I found myself at the Irving Ramada right outside the DFW airport in Dallas Texas yesterday. I was surprised that the room had a full kitchen and the free breakfast was better than most breakfasts at hotels.

I really wanted to make a skydive and bed jumping was the next best thing. I captured this picture with the camera sitting on a chair that I placed on top of the ironing board. I would love to hear from other skydivers who bed jump to see if their body automatically went into the typical free fall position like mine did.

At BedJump.com we always enjoy checking out which hotels our viewers are visiting. We get such a variety of hotel bed jumping images that we just never know what’s going to arrive next in our email inbox.

Today we feature an hilarious image of Zoe and Anthony showing off their jump skills at the ultra-luxury Chester Grosvenor Hotel & Spa in Chester, England. Dating back to 1865, the hotel is owned by and named after the family of the Duke of Westminster. The Chester Grosvenor is one one of a only handful of hotels to be awarded five AA Red Stars. We’ve never actually heard of red stars before - must be really special!

Check out Zoe and Anthony modelling their thick terry hotel robes and slippers.

That kind of luxury deserves a celebratory bed jump.

We’ve noticed that Disney and hotel bed jumping seem to go hand in hand around the world.

Check out our two little bed jumping aficionado’s, Maria and Adolfo, having a great time bouncing on their beds at the Hotel Disney in Paris, France. These were sent in by proud parent “pepmarti”.

It’s pretty hard not to love Fridays, but this day is extra special for us here at BedJump.com. Tim and Barbara sent in some outstanding hotel bed jumping images from the Old London Hotel in Naarden, Holland. We really love it when happy couples send in hotel bed jumping images. It makes us “warm and fuzzy” all over.

So, why else is this a special day?

First, we always like to hear of hotel guests who are taking bed jumping images for fun, and then later find this blog out there somewhere. It must feel so hilarious to see an entire site dedicated to something that you probably thought was your own little secret.

We’re also happy today because we learned from Tim and Barbara that they discovered our website through a TV story. We know that we have lots of great press out there around the world, but moving into TV is cool. Now we’re just going to sit by the phone and wait for our Reality Show or movie deal to materialize!

We love all the images that we receive here at BedJump.com. Every one of them is extremely entertaining and fun to write about. Many people out there might think that we get mostly images of kids, but as you know that is simply not the case -and that diversity is another great thing about this site!

Even though all the images are terrific, we still like it when we see images of kids in our inbox. They always seem to float so effortlessly, with such wide eyed enthusiasm.

Check out these images of Cole sent in by his dad Matt. Matt and Cole were out of town in Austin, Texas for a college football game. They got to see their Texas Longhorns kick butt…and of course what better way is there to celebrate than with a hotel bed jump?

OK Chris - here’s the story. This bed jumping happened at the Marriot Courtyard Downtown in Austin, Texas. The flying assailant is my 10 year old son Cole.

We traveled down to Austin from our home base of Fort Worth to the University of Texas Longhorns football game for Cole’s first UT game in person. After watching the National Champion Longhorns pummel Sam Houston State 56-3, we went back to the hotel where the bed jumping began! These flights took a little practice and then boom goes the dynamite, Cole is in mid-air. Love the website, keep jumping and we’ll see ya!

It really does just keep getting better and better!
