Hotel Bed Jumping at the Omni William Penn, Pittsburgh

We’ve all been there. All dressed up for a formal affair: a wedding, a corporate function, a social affair that requires us to primp and prepare and generally behave. Fun stuff, and so civilized.

Then the formalities are over. You have a few drinks after dinner, then some dancing with your partner. All of a sudden you’re partying it up with friends or colleagues, and the night is just getting started when the lights turn up and the gathering is under mandate to find an alternate venue.

Naturally, you turn to BedJump.com for a few late-evening party ideas.

Thanks to Rob for sending us these awesome images of his sweetheart launching off their bed at the Omni William Penn Hotel in Pittsburgh - after just such an evening.

I’ve attached a couple of shots of my (slightly drunken) wife doing a little bed jumping after a black tie wedding.

Hotel Bed Jumping “a la” La Costa

When friends get together in France to hang out, you can be sure that they will try to serve a common purpose to make society a better place.

Liberte, Egalite, Fraternite. Liberty, Equality and the eternal brotherhood of mankind.

The legend of the Three Musketeers is a wonderful example of three friends in France who banded together in the pursuit of common good under the motto “All for One and One for All”.

And then there are the fellas we feature today. Three French friends banded together in the name of being daft. No social value whatsoever. Pure human fulfillment at the La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad California.

We love that at BedJump.com.

Le Daft Club consists of 3 friends: GG, Guy and Xav. They’re daft guys from Paris who do daft things, obviously, and one of them is bed jumping.

Earlier this year they flew to Los Angeles, and that’s a 9 hour flight from Paris, so guess what they did as soon as they landed? Well they hired a Ford Mustang to get to their hotel in Carlsbad, north of San Diego. When they got there eventually, they proceeded to proper bed jumping!

It was bliss, a big bed for landing and a large room for take off, here come the pictures.

Guy, Xav & GG. Vive le bedjumping!

Hotel Bed Jumping with Fernando

Last month Fernando, one of our hotel bed jumpers from Spain, sent in some hilarious images from Tunisia in North Africa. This was the first time that we were introduced to Fernando’s signature “Superman” bed jumping style. Luckily for us, it would not be the last.

Earlier this month we received another image set from Fernando, this time from the People’s Republic of China. Again, outstanding images, and more “Superman” stylings.

Today, we are pleased to announce yet another hotel bed jumping image set from Fernando, this time from the bustling city of Bangkok, Thailand. We couldn’t decide which of the two images we liked better, so we uploaded them both for you. What an awesome guestroom - and some serious height on these jumps. Nice.

We can’t wait to see what Fernando does during his next business trip!

Hotel Bed Jumping at Seattle’s Hotel 1000

Sometimes we get emails with great hotel bed jumping images, accompanied by compelling and wordy travel stories. We love those. And sometimes we get images sent with no verbiage at all. We love those too.

And then we get emails like the one we received from Megan, featured above at the Hotel 1000 in Seattle, that capture in only two words the whole reason why BedJump.com exists in the first place:

Comfy bed!

Thanks Megan.

Hotel Bed Jumping in Tulsa

What do internet gurus do while they’re on the road for nerdy technology conventions like the Tulsa Tech Fest?

According to Dru, featured above at the Great Western Downtown Plaza - hotel bed jumping seems to be high on the to-do list:

Bed Jumping fun in Tulsa, OK right before the TulsaTechFest

Hotel Bed Jumping in Florida

One of the great pleasures of editing BedJump.com is reading the stories behind the images that we get sent every day. Our hotel jumpers travel for all sorts of purposes, and they are inspired to get up on that plush bed for so many different reasons.

Last week we received an email from Joshua, who sent us some hilarious hotel bed jumping images of himself and his “super-hero” sweetheart from the Residence Inn International Drive, in Orlando, Florida. Not only did Joshua send us great images, but he also spoke the magic words: “11 months of the year on the road”. Wow!

We’re glad that Joshua found our little bed project here, and he has promised to send us more stories from his travel-diaries:

i’m new to the site but i will now be a regular submitter, hope you don’t mind. i live about 11 months on the road traveling for work, and staying in hotels. i came across your website when my girlfriend, kim, was up from costa rica visting, so we took some snap shots. enjoy, more hotel bedjuming to come. this is at the residence inn international drive, orlando,fl somewhere near disney world.

It just keeps getting better and better!

The Family Von BedJump

Most of the images we post on BedJump.com are sent to us by viewers and fans. We consider ourselves very lucky to have such a terrific and interactive community of hotel bed jumpers giving us such great travel stories and images.

We do, however, still remember to search around online once in a while to see if we’ve missed any exciting pictures to add to our little collection. And good thing too, because we found a “mother lode” of images of an entire family getting in on the Jump.

Meet Daniel, a Chicago based writer and online guru, and his crew of little hotel bed jumpers at the Marriott Spring Hill Suites in Warrenville, Illinois. Daniel and his sweetheart Dee got together outside of Chicago with their kids for a wild & wacky weekend, topped up with some pumpkin picking for this month’s Halloween festivities. Fun, wild kids, wacky parents…you’d better believe that hotel bed jumping was a weekend highlight.

Instead of reading their kids stories like “no more monkeys jumping on the bed”, Daniel and Dee are teaching their kids values like fun, family, and…the importance of a good running start to get decent vertical!

Who jump better - kids, or adults? Take our poll below:

DXO Goes Horizontal

CXO in Pre-Flight

CALEB with Perfect Form

Wild BEA

DEE showing the family how it’s done

Help us solve the age old question: Who jumps better - kids or adults?

Jail Jumping at Euro Disney

We always say here at BedJump.com that we could never write content as great as the images that our viewers send us almost every day.

Once in a while, however, we receive a travel story that is so compelling that it truly is as awesome as the images it came with.

Today is your lucky day, because this is one such story:

Some days ago I traveled from Barcelona (Spain) to Detroit (USA) and the scheduled flights were Barcelona-Paris and Paris-Detroit in the same day (Oct 2) but when I arrived to Paris the airplane was not ready to fly. The reason: “technical problems”.

After 4 or 5 hours in the airport, the flight was cancelled until next day and the air company gave us a voucher for a night in Paris but it was not not really Paris, they took us to …

… Hotel Cheyenne …

… in …

Disneyland Paris!!!!

I bought an air ticket to go to the USA and they took me to a “Far-West” town, with a Sheriff in the reception’s desk of the hotel, all the staff wearing cowboy and indian clothes, non-stop country music and all the buildings and items with the typical look of the western films (Saloon, warehouse, etc.).

I suppose that Eurodisney must be a nice place to enjoy your holidays if you go voluntarily with your family, your kids, your baggage, etc., but if you are 36 years old, you are single, you are alone, it’s monday, it’s a cold afternoon, it’s raining, you wear the same clothing for two days (or more), etc., you can feel like in a jail or a mental hospital.

And then, after some beers, when I was alone and boring in my room in the “Billy the Kid” building I decided to take me some self-pictures for you, wearing only my new yellow Eurodisney’s rain-poncho and here is the result.

And please, don’t worry, the position of my arms is not for you, is the gesture that I dedicate to the air company!!!!!!!!!

Have a nice day. Teren

Teren, that is one heck of a story…and one heck of an outfit. And if any folks out there wonder if this image is the real thing, check out the Wild-West themed trim at the guestroom ceiling!

It really does just keep getting better and better!

Hotel Bed Jumping in Germany

There is much to celebrate here at BedJump.com. Good times, big air, comfy hotel beds - and the fact that your stories continue to delight and inspire hotel guests around the world.

Sometimes we even inspire people to check into a hotel just to test their bed jumping ability, and add hilarious images to the BedJump site.

Meet Geert, one of our fine fans from Bruges, Belgium. Geert found our little bed project here and and was excited enough with what he saw that he booked a room at the Dorint Sofitel Quellenhof Hotel, a luxury hotel property in Aachen, Germany. A few nicely timed images, and Geert has now joined over 200 fellow hotel jumpers on BedJump.com whose images are enjoyed by thousands of viewers every day:

Just discovered your site and booked immediately a hotelbed in Aachen (Germany). The ‘Quellenhof’ is a splendid place, offers great food and lots of facilities, including fantastic beds to jump. It was my first time and it feels great, thanks. Geert

The pleasure is ours, Geert!
