X-treme bed jumping is dangerous

OK, besides all the smiles, the laughter and the youthful behaviour we love to feature on Bedjump.com, we also feel that it is important to be honest with our viewers. So, please be aware that you do need to be careful when you are gett’n your jump-on.

And if this tiny little paper-cut is going to slow you down…maybe you’re just not cool enough for BedJump.com! =)

Hotel Bed Jump…er…Bump

Bump

Anyone who has attempted to capture a hotel bed jump on film can relate to the potential for personal “disaster”.

The hotel bed mattresses can take it - they’re designed for punishment. It’s the human body that can feel the pain!

I was jumping on my bed, trying to get a capture of me bumping my head on the ceiling. While I didn’t quite get the moment of impact, I promise you that my head did in fact bump the very hard ceiling. Ouch!

Flying Home from Jamaica

A hilarious bed jump from Jamaica - A taste of ‘da Islands!

“DanielN” has the art of the Bed Jumping image capture down to a science.

Check it out:

Ok how is it done: Tripod, timer and a flash. Set your shutter around 200 to reduce the motion blur. It takes a bit of time to get used to the timer and its release but once you nail that apex in the shot I think you will be happy. Although the jump looks best when you are at the height of the jump, I must admit that the wide angle lens and the near bed level position of the camera really add to the perspective. Have fun and safe landings. :)
