No Bed Jumping for Elvis

Hotel Bed Jumping

Till is a graphic artist from Switzerland, and a fan of BedJump.com. Although Till supports hotel bed jumping, it appears that he is does not support jumping on roll-away beds! Thanks for sending this in.

BedJump visits the Chelsea Hotel, New York City

Click play below to see our first full-length feature film (1 minute 45 secs). Ok, don’t get too excited - we ain’t no Scorsese or Coppola…

…but you will get to visit New York City’s famous, and infamous, Chelsea Hotel - past, present and future home to artists, bohemians and cool folks of note. Remember the UK punk group the Sex Pistols? If you know the story of Sid Vicious and his girlfriend Nancy…it all happened right here at the Chelsea Hotel.

Of course, BedJump.com was there!

Hotel Bed Hopping

Romping on the hotel bed.

Originally uploaded by panache113.

Westin Hotels & Resorts rolled out their “Heavenly Bed” about seven years ago and literally took the hotel bed “experience” to the next level.

Next came the “Heavenly Doggie Bed” which proved to be a smart move in the Paris Hilton - “my dog is my accessory” fashion era.

With such demand, I wonder what’s taking Westin so long to get on the “Heavenly Rabbit Bed” bandwagon?

Hotel Bedding Tip #1

hotel bed

Originally uploaded by oliver:d.

Last night I was awake all night stressing over the fact that BedJump.com has not been very socially conscious to date. Sure we’ve entertained thousands over the last month, but what have we really contributed towards the “betterment” of society?

In an effort to “raise the bar” and distinguish ourselves amid the fierce competition in pure entertainment hotel bed blogs….

…welcome to Hotel Bedding Tip #1.

If your hotel bed has lovely triple-sheeted linen carefully placed over a gorgeous goosedown duvet cover, then fear not. You’re in for a treat.

If you check in and find an old bedspread with the same pattern as Frank Bonner’s jacket - you can be sure that guests have been smoking and picking their feet on that bedding.

Pillows, Pillows, Pillows

A waste of pillows

Originally uploaded by KAGoldberg.

You might be surprised at some of the emails I receive from visitors to BedJump.com.

Most folks (like me) think this blog is hilarious, and harmless. Other people think the hotel industry is going to “come after me”! (I wonder what THAT’s going to be like)

Still more visitors wonder why anyone would even think of leaping or bouncing onto their hotel bed.

Take a look at the image here. If you don’t feel the urge to dive onto that flock of fluffy hotel pillows, you need therapy.

Show the Bed Love

=show time=our hotel room

BedJump.com is all about showing love for the terrific beds that today’s hotel industry has to offer.

Back in 1999, Westin Hotels & Resorts rolled out the very first “Heavenly Bed” which knocked the socks off any other hotel brand bed out there. Now most hotels offer plush, deep, awesome bedding - and we get to sleep better. And we bounce better too.

Check out Xiaojing - loving her hotel bed.

I like this hotel a lot. Everything inside it is clean and big. Look at the beautiful view from our window, the unique decor in the suite, xiaojing jumped into the bed and posing it out~~

A well-placed bed jump should launch that little pillow into the atmosphere!

Big Bed in Brussels

Bed Originally uploaded by markj.

Something about this bed at the Hotel Heritage in Brussels, Belgium just isn’t sitting right. Kind of Alice in Wonderland-ish.

The crooked ceiling perhaps? Non-parallel lines in the bedspread placement? Must just be the mustard colour tones that remind me of my parent’s outfits in the early 1970’s.

Wanderlust Room - Vancouver Dead Jump Zone

Wanderlust Room

Originally uploaded by salisasaki.

The Wonderlust Room in the Dominion Hotel in Vancouver, Canada is a newly and cheaply renovated guestroom in a budget hotel for the art-minded traveller.

Trouble is, they seem to be onto us. Thin mattress, lights to tangle up your triple lutz….not good. Not good at all.

We’ll keep looking.

Toronto’s King Edward Hotel Bed

IMGP2590a

Originally uploaded by omondodaxuxa.

Here is a capture of a regal sleep system from Le Meridien’s King Edward Hotel in Toronto, Canada. The white-look feels inviting enough, although somehow this bed lacks the pinache of other more plush bedding featured in earlier posts.

Easy enough to move the mini-bar tray display for a good bed romp, but don’t knock off the crystal bedside lamps without some room to grow your credit card balance!
