Flying High at the Hotel Arts in Calgary

Lindsey brought these incredible hotel bed jumping images to our attention, and they’ve pretty much blown our minds.

Captured at Calgary Alberta’s Hotel Arts—these sweet jump stylings are about as true to the Hotel’s name as any we’ve seen. Style mashed up with design, and a vibrant ‘craziness’ quotient helps this nutty set deliver some true entertainment.

We’re delighted to feature these for you today:

Hotel Bed Jumping: All in the Family

There is something special about a family that sticks together. Over the last year we’ve received some wonderful images of family vacations where the entire family banded together for some group activity…BedJump style.

Geert is from Bruges in Belgium, and he is quite a fan of bed jumping. We have received images of Geert in Aachen and Gondorf in Germany. Then we received another ditty from Geert’s son RĂ©mi at the Terra Ventura Hotel.

Geert is a restaurateur by trade, and he created a hilarious “wall of fame” at his restaurant to feature his bed jumping activity, as well as pics from his family and friends. However, there was a glaring omission on Geert’s BedJump Wall: he didn’t have any pics of wife Caroline. Until today.

Here’s to Geert and his high-flying family!

At last i could persuade my wife, Caroline to join the gang of bed jumpers. It did cost me a four night stay in Prague however. Here you see her jumping in the Astoria hotel, in the very centre of the city. As you can see she’s having a great time. And is very proud now she’s also on my little wall of fame.

We did enjoy Praque very much, and approved of the quality of its beds…

It really does just keep getting better and better!

Hotel Bed Jumping at the Royal Palm Plaza, Brazil

Any business traveller knows that time alone in your guestroom can get monotonous.

Joao was in Campinas for business recently, but instead of singing the work-blues he decided to liven things up by snapping his first bed jump image with a classic superhero theme:

It was a boring business trip. A very nice hotel in Campinas, a small town near Sao Paulo, the biggest Brazilian city. On my free time I HAD to do a bed jump. And for my first pic on bedjump.com, I choose a classic one. Superman!

Hotel Bed Jumping at the C’mon Inn, Fargo

When Charlie and and some co-workers took a road trip from Winnipeg to Fargo to hook up with friends, the lure of the “Liquor Barn” was simply too much to deny. And we all know what happens after a trip to the Liquor Barn in Fargo….don’t we?

We give an A for this bedjumping sweet action, and we give an A+ for finding a hotel named the C’mon Inn!

A bunch of co-workers and friends decided to take a road trip from Winnipeg to Fargo to meet up with friends from minneapolis. Once checked in it was straight to the liquor barn. After a half hour tour of the Liquor Barn and a good quantity of the bottles consumed, we decided to test the hotel beds. Needless to say those beds will handle a 6′ 3″ 240lbs man landing on it from about 4 feet up. Funny thing it only took one take to catch the image.

HotelsByCity Hits the Downtown Ramada, Minneapolis

Hotel guests travelling for business are used to conducting themselves according to the etiquette expected of them by their employer. After all, employees are representing their company pretty much at all times.

But what is expected of you if happen to work for HotelsByCity.net? Well, staying in a hotel will be a given of course…and so will getting up on the bed with your friends (and your camera) for some flight activity.

Check out Dustin, a HotelsByCity team member (and seasoned bed jumper) mixing it up with his friends at the Downtown Ramada in Minneapolis , MN.

It took me a while to figure out what’s wrong with this hotel scene….

….do you see it?

Right. The airborne telephone book! Who uses a phone book anymore?

Here are a few more bed jumps from the team at HotelsByCity.net:

Dark Slide Jumps at the Citadines - La Rambla

Valentin snapped these beauties at the Citadines - La Rambla in Barcelona, Spain.

Valentin’s email moniker is “DarkSlideSK8″…and I’d say that Dark Slide nicely sums up up Valentin’s jump style!

Nice jump for a nice hotel in barcelona town. It’s a pleasure to test beds like that !

Bed Jumping at the Guapindaia in Rio Branco, Brazil

“Holy Wires, Batman….we’ve got some crime-fighting competition brewing down in South America!”

Today we’re proud to introduce Higoreto and Romer from Brazil…two budding young super-heroes photographed here trying to save Little Red Riding Hood from the bears in their bedroom. At least so it seems!

Super man and super boy in action in the guapindaia hotel in Rio Branco Brazil

It just keeps getting stranger…er…better and better.

Love it!

Luxury Bed Jumping at the Langham Hotel, Boston

We like to think of our bed jumping community as a highly cerebral bunch, and today we get to prove it once again.

Andrew sent in this fun capture of Kathy, living large at the swank Langham Hotel in Boston. Accompanying this awesome action image is yet another of life’s many lessons learned right here at BedJump.com:

Life truth #58: The nicer the hotel, the sweeter the bed jumping. The Langham Hotel in Boston provides a nice 5-star room for a 5-star bed jump. Nice effort, Kathy!

Have to say Andrew, we think this gem of wisdom should have ranked a whole lot higher than a measly number 58!

Hotel Bed Jumping at the Baymont Inn, Cincinnati

Many folks probably think that hotel bed jumping is a kid’s sport. And before we received the avalanche of bed jumping images sent in for our little bed project, we might have agreed.

Well, it turns out that getting up on your hotel bed and testing the bounce factor is an activity enjoyed by guests of all ages, and we’re thankful for that. Still, seeing the joy on our junior-jumpers’ faces truly makes us all feel warm and fuzzy inside.

Kari recently sent in these incredible family jump antics taken at the Baymont Inn, Cincinnati. Man, this is one high-flying family!

We love it when we learn stuff from our children. You know, the little things that make a big difference…like, for example, taking your shoes off when you jump on your hotel bed!

Thanks for these Kari–it really does just keep getting better and better.

We were traveling through and stopped for the night. Ever since I saw the bed jumping website, I wanted to do it!

Hotel Bed Jumping Madness in Minakami, Japan

There’s nothing in the world we like better than receiving creative and hilarious images from hotel guests showing off their jump skills–and having a great time doing it.

Take Chris and Sakura, for example, blowing the roof off tradition…in a traditional “ryokan” in Japan. Good thing Chris fashioned himself a helmet for a hard landing into a paper-thin wall. Safety first!

Don’t worry, Chris assures us that no-one was hurt. We assume that nothing else was hurt either.

Bonsai!

After we saw your fabulous blog, me (Chris, from France) and Sakura (from Japan) decided to participate with some jumps in Minshuku (in a traditional japanese hotel).

The problem: “The futon”… no bed !!! Just covers that we had. For your information…nobody was hurt ;)

Long life to this blog !

Merci and long life to you too, Chris.

Hotel Bed Jumping at a Hostel in Dublin

Four years ago, in a grey afternoon in Dublin, three men unleashed their madness…

Oh my goodness. Where’s the third gentleman? We hope he’s taking the picture and not getting nicely diced by the ceiling fan!

Thanks Livio, for taking the time to snap and send.
