Most of the images we post on BedJump.com are sent to us by viewers and fans. We consider ourselves very lucky to have such a terrific and interactive community of hotel bed jumpers giving us such great travel stories and images.

We do, however, still remember to search around online once in a while to see if we’ve missed any exciting pictures to add to our little collection. And good thing too, because we found a “mother lode” of images of an entire family getting in on the Jump.

Meet Daniel, a Chicago based writer and online guru, and his crew of little hotel bed jumpers at the Marriott Spring Hill Suites in Warrenville, Illinois. Daniel and his sweetheart Dee got together outside of Chicago with their kids for a wild & wacky weekend, topped up with some pumpkin picking for this month’s Halloween festivities. Fun, wild kids, wacky parents…you’d better believe that hotel bed jumping was a weekend highlight.

Instead of reading their kids stories like “no more monkeys jumping on the bed”, Daniel and Dee are teaching their kids values like fun, family, and…the importance of a good running start to get decent vertical!

The girl on the Left is Lindse, and the girl on the right is me, Betsy. We are from Edmond, Oklahoma and we went to Atlanta, Georgia for the 2006 Catalyst Conference.

We love to jump on beds. We like to sing “the 10 little monkeys jumping on the bed” song but we like to replace it with 10 little indians. =D

Thanks to “Butch” for sending these terrific images from the Howard Johnson Hotel in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. What brings a family together better than a little hotel bed jumping?

“These are the photos of MY family’s first bed-jumping experience together. Jenah Mae, my daughter and Heather my wife having a blast together!”

As a child I was lucky enough to have a (widowed) mother who knew the importance of introducing her children, my sister and I, to new places and experiences. Growing up in Cincinnati, OH we were fairly centrally located to a bunch of good family-type weekend and vacation destinations.

It was my mother that introduced me to the exquisite art of bed jumping. The first time I remember her jumping on a hotel bed was on a thanksgiving trip to Natural Bridge State Resort Park in central KY. I asked her why she was jumping on the bed. She replied “because it’s fun”. She was right!

And so, on every subsequent trip that required a hotel stay, my sis and I were allowed and encouraged to jump on the bed(s). As I’ve grown older I’ve continued the sport but the thought never crossed my mind to photograph it until this past July. Now with a young family of my own I’m passing on a tradition that my mother started.

It just doesn’t get better than that…until you look at the pure joy on the face of little Jenah Mae below watching her mom hop to it.

That’s what BedJump.com is all about.
