For travellers spending much time in the car when visiting with friends and family for the holidays, stopping for the night can be a welcome respite from the highway blues.
Sometimes roadside lodging establishments along the way are fully booked so road warriors need to press on to the next location to find rest. And when rest finally comes, it feels pretty sweet.

After a long drive down I-25 thru NM, and no luck finding a room in El Paso, my brother and i ended up getting the last room at a Super 8 in Van Horn at midnight on the 27th. I’m celebrating having a decent nice rest by jumping on the bed before leaving that morning…
