With Christmas over, we all know New Year follows, and January is a big month for Sydney.

It's Sydney Festival month!

This year, Sydney Festival once again features theatre productions and concerts from all over the world. The highlights are of course, the FREE events, which include outdoor cinemas at the Overflow in the Olympic Park, the Domain concert series from the Sydney Symphony, Opera Australia and Jazz bands. An annual outdoor free event in Kings Cross, Pics in the Park showcase some of the feature documentaries as well as short films by local productions.  The program started on the 10th November and will run its last session this Saturday on the 24th November. So if you haven't got anything planned this weekend, head to the Fitzroy Gardens for a day of short films and enjoy the Sydney outdoors.

Michael Leunig fans in Sydney would all want to flock to this special exhibition that showcases his thoughts and opinions in forms of his cartoon.

Australian cartoonist Michael Leunig is a man known for his many talents. He was a cartoonist, poet, philosopher and artist, his cartoons have been featured as light humours as well as bearing strong political messages in the press.

It's the annual Sculpture by the Sea where many local and international artists come together creating outdoor art for the cliff walk between Bondi beach and Tamarama beach.

Newtown Festival

Get out of the city center this Sunday and enjoy a day of food, music and craft stores in the inner west at the Newtown Festival.
