Sydney this weekend: Newtown Festival & Walk Against Warming
Newtown Festival
Get out of the city center this Sunday and enjoy a day of food, music and craft stores in the inner west at the Newtown Festival.
Held annually, Newtown Festival is a fundraiser event for the Newtown Neigbourhood Centre (NNC), who provides community service to the aged, people with disabilities, people with mental illness, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and people on low incomes.
The event will be held at Camperdown Memorial Rest Park, easily accessible by public transport and will be a day packed with bands, market stalls, licensed bars, international food stalls, writers corner and activities for children. A donation for the NNC will be welcomed.
After the festival, enjoy a cup of great coffee in one of Newtown's many good cafes, or shop to your heart's content among the boutique and alternative fashion stores Newtown is well known for. Stay late and party into the night starting with the famous happy hour at Kuletos Cocktails Bar and enjoy the atmosphere of inner west Sydney.
