Sydney: Cocooned in the Observatory Day Spa
This day spa, located in the Observatory Hotel, is quite expensive but very luxurious. My friend invited me to a very exclusive ‘hens party' at this spa and I really, really enjoyed the experience. It almost made me want to get married. The staff are highly qualified and the atmosphere is one of nurturing and calm from the moment you enter reception.
This spa uses a wide range of treatments by La Prairie and Payot, designed for every skin-type. You can choose to have a full afternoon of pampering or a quick treatment if you've got other things on your agenda. Oh, and don't miss out on a dip in the fabulous pool.
Our hen's party chose to have the ‘Ultimate Stress Buster', which promised a ‘farewell to fatigue, and stress'. Bring it on! It began with Payot's Full Body Exfoliation to get rid of dead skin, followed by a wonderful body massage for which I chose my own special oils. Mmmmm. I had to be carried home. $200 1.5hrs
Travellers would be interested in the Flight Reviver Package; a rest inside the lemongrass infused steam room, then a back, neck and shoulder massage, then to combat jetlag sinus, ear candling and facial drainage $155 2.15mins
