Now, if you're visiting Melbourne with a group or, seek to join a pre-organized professional team to solve historic and cultural puzzles, you may be surprised at what kinds of tours the city has to offer. White Hat is a popular company that has devised an amusing approach to questing. This kind of entertainment permits groups compete or co-operate to solve an intriguing, real-life mysteries. You may ask if this is inspired by writers like Agatha Christie. In somes cases, well-known Australian writers and famous personalities factor into the pre-planned activities. You can decide is this sort of thing appeals to you.

This unusual adventure company educates while it encourages participants to learn about national heors, criminals and landmarks. The activities include elements like scavenger hunts, trivia nights. solve-a-murder nights, social car rallies, themes related to television survivor programs. Yet, the beauty of it is that aspects of many of these recognizable things are combined into an experience that is exclusive to White Hat.

If you're really creative, you can also transform what can become city-wide quests into Indiana Jones-like choose-your-own adventures. Of course, there's no real danger involved. Each person is simply invited to engage his or her imagination to the fullest. The point is to stimulate problem-solving skills and encourage participants to learn things about Melbourne and Australia more generally, in ways they may not have thought about before.

You have a certain degree of freedom to choose the focus of your group quest. For example, will it be serious and business-oriented or perhaps historic city orientation? Would you choose to focus on cultural mysteries surrounding venues like the Melbourne Cemetery or learn more about specific individuals who have helped change the local landscape and heritage? Active participation and suggestions for future team-building exercises are encouraged.

The Melbourne Cemetery is more than a place filled with historic tombstones. Some people may be turned off by the prospect of visiting. Yet, a self-tour offers a worthwhile glimpse into local history. You can do a self tour or take an organized one during daytime or night time. The Cemetery historic society wrote a book about people who are buried in the cemetery and unusual circusmatnces surrounding certain deaths. This book makes a great keepsake after a visit and can also serve to orient your own visit.

Why bother visiting this cemetery? You can be by yourself and benefit from the silence. You can absorb the mystery at different times of day. There's more to be found than typical dates of birth and death on the tombstones. How often do you examine the epitaphs? Whetehr or not poetry is your thing, the words and designs of images and photos unveil some very intriguing local lives.

As well as publicized tours, you can request tours on topics of your choice, for groups of at least five. You help choose the where and when the tours would take place. Special occasions and holidays are sometimes options. Many groups have taken advantage of opportunity to create their own tours. Smaller groups can also be catered as well. Parking is available within the cemetery, though buses and trams also enable you to reach the cemetary by public transit. Taxis are another option. If you desire to get somewhere, you'll find a way to get there. In fact, some people have been known to climb over the gate (even when this isn't recommended).

I liked the idea of picking up a map and setting off to visit graves of Melbourne's oldest cemetery in order to learn about journalists, artists and stage performers, which reflect on the artistic and creative life in Australia. Among other tombstones, you can also learn about politicians, a women's rights activist, a cross dresser, famous jockeys, and a gold rush risk-takers, women's rights activists, cross dressers, a famous jockey, and well-known miners. Check out areas which organize plots according to specific cultural groups and religious backgrounds. The fascinating people paint a picture of the local landscape. What do you wish to know? Find it all out.

Although I haven't seen anyone having a picnic in the cemetery, I've witnessed people reading poetry or books aloud, and other people tending gardens and shrubberry around particular tombstones. Icons and statues and photos are also left at these sites. One miraculous area if the rosegarden where plaques of deceased persons are commemorated with the planting of a rosebush. You can even find a statue and tribute to American singer Elvis Presley. Whatever your idea of a cemetery, this place offers ne layouts and perspectives to show you a different side to Melbourne. If you get tired of walking, sit on a bench and gaze around at the tranquility.

Created in 2004 by Louise Parkinson, well known and respected Psychic, Metaphysical Lecturer and Teacher, the Angel Awareness Program is based on the teachings of universal love and understanding of the Angelic realms. Earlier in 2007, Louise began a series of like seminars. November will the last chance to tap into these teachings this year. Regardless of whether you participated before, this event isn't to be missed.

The Angel Awareness Program is a fantastic way to explore spiritual awakening and healing transformation. The course is designed to increase your awareness of and applications of psychic abilities. Learn strategies to heighten your sensibilities and communicate more effectively with your guardian angels and the archangels. Practical exercises and instructional meditations will enable you to open your heart, mind and soul.

In case you didn't know, we all have natural gifts and psychic abilities. To attend is to gain insight intow what it means to become an Angel Awareness Practitioner. Is this route for you? Awaken your divine potential as a Light Worker. This is a person who heals themselves and others through their intuition and taking steps to strengthen connections to the angelic realm. You need no polyvision or open third eye to benefit.

New techniques are being introduced all the time. In November, Louise will study the latest international Light Worker techniques with Doreen Virtue in Queensland and bring back some of her new wisdom to share with seminar participants. Take advantage of this timely opportunity to explore your connections with paranormal. Your favourite topics will be the focus to ensure that we get up to date on the latest approaches and themes discussed about guidance with spirit realms.

Notably, a group of Light Workers will graduate after this course. These individuals will have attended the last two workshops, or previous Sunbury workshops, and will receive an exclusive certification pin and graduate as Angel Awareness Practitioners. More than 100 will then have graduated though these courses in 2007. This reflects an increasing trend of spiritual awareness and value associated with New Age healing.

Whether you have preliminary interest or consider yourself to be more advanced in angel guidance and healing activities, you're invited to bring your friends and fellow Light Workers to participate in workshops. Discover how you can make new kinds of contributions to serve and enrich the lives of others. Help raise the vibration of this planet.

For more information about the Nov 25, 2007 workshop at the Melbourne Convention Centre (10am-16h45)and similar events, consult http://www.heavenlyangels.com.au

The laws of attraction suggest each of us can accomplish what we set our mind to do, but not everyone seems to be able to make this work for them. Not everyone knows how their thoughts and feelings determine how their life has evolved, and will evolve from here. What would you do if you achieved all you desire?

Law of Attraction is a two-day workshop that will remind you of tools you have inside to excel. The cost is $260 and includes seminars, light lunches and mid-afternoon tea both days. Take advantage of this two-day opportunity (October 13, 14) to learn more about the Laws of Attraction and how you can use them to harness and direct energy for benefits in your own life. The event will take place at the Melbourne Convention Centre in the CBD. The venue is central and accessible via public transport.

You may have already heard about the law of attraction in books like Rhonda Byrne's The Secret. Yet, any book would only scratch the surface of these concepts. Practitioners discussed in that book share some of their views. These people reveal how they applied the concepts on a practical level and how their lives have evolved most favorably.

Louise Parkinson will run the Melbourne workshops, sharing her experience in practical terms. As a metaphysics teacher, she will explain how these omnipresent laws govern this universe. You can learn how to better make them work to your advantage. The formula of abundant living is actually based on the principals of quantum physics. You can learn to tap in to these powerful forces to realize dreams inyour own ways.

What you learn by the end of this course will enable you to understand how your thinking and choices affect your health, relationships, and stress. Your perception helps you decipher physical symptoms underneath your attitude and mindset. You will grasp connections among events unfolding in your life as well as in the lives of people you interact with, and why they seem to appear.

The Angel Awareness Program is a seminar offered as a full day of lectures, meditation and participation exercise in July, September and November 2007. The event runs from 10am to 5pm with lunch and tea break included in the $110.00 price. You can attend in any single day session or, complete all three parts. Certificates will be offered. Its based on the idea that universal love and understanding has already been provided, and inspire each of us to seek and find a deeper life purpose.

This course has been created with Angelic love and guidance by Louise Parkinson, a well-known psychic, metaphysical lecturer and teacher. The popularity of the event and learning opportunities has led this to be the fifth year such public training is offered. Her experience leands credibility to it.

In essence, it is a non-denominational overview of who the angels are and how they can assist us in our daily lives. Each participant learns more about opportunities to connect and work with Higher Forces. People are encouraged to communicate with guardian angels and archangels and taught different techniques through which this can be done. Each person is different however and no every technique would would for everyone. You have the chance to recognize which methods would work best for you.

No matter where you are on your spiritual path, this course will deepen your understanding, enhance your psychic abilities and help you to connect. People draw from the teachings and meditations to learn about themselves and to feel empowered to teach other people to learn about the benefits of the inner process.
