Melbourne Boat Show

From July 5-9, Melbourne hosted a fabulous boat show for everyone from canoe and kyak wilderness enthusiasts, traditional fishermen to power boat junkies and posh yachtsmen.  Many people forget that Australia is partly known for the Murray-Darling river which is very popular for hosue boat rental vacations and other boat-related holidays.  The vast array of choices and prices of boat merchandise might boggle just about anyone's mind.  The Boating Industry of Victoria arranged ...

Yak-52 Aerobatic Flight Option

Back in 2000, I had the invigorating experience of an acrobatic air flight in outside of Valparaiso, Chile.   I experienced +6gs and was flying for about 35 minutes in very unusual circumstances.  It was one of my sincere thrills of a lifetime.  I would highly recommend this kind of experience to anyone, providing your health is okay and meet other requirements.

While visiting Melbourne, visitors have the amazing opportunity to experience an acrobatic ...

Museum of Chinese Australian History

Many people know that Australia has a growing Asian population, but fewer people are aware of the history behind this immigration.  Fewer people are knowledgable about the many examples of Asian culture which continue to enrich Australian multiculturalism.

The Museum of Chinese Australian History is well worth a visit.  It's located at 22 Cohen Place in the centre of the city.  If you look at your map, you will find it quite easily near Little ...

Melbourne Aquarium

In life, you never know who you're going to meet.  You never know how these people may introduce you to something that enriches your life or, remind you of very meaningful things you had forgotten or put to the side.

While I was involved in the 2007 International Australian Airshow, one of my peers told me he was a diver at the Melbourne Aquarium.   Now, back in 2000, while in Chile, I took an introductory ...

For anyone in town who is interested in discussing recent books with authors over wine or coffee, many options exist. Depending on where you stay in or around Melbourne, its helpful to check local listings of primary and second hand book shops.  Many have monthly schedules of events which are themselves free.  You simply need to know where to look.
